“Porcelain is not a sustainable clay due to the high firing temperature and the large amount of energy and water needed in manufacturing.

Therefore, I set out to develop a set of new porcelain slips that matures at a lower temperature – inspired by soft-paste porcelain, a material made by Europeans when searching for the recipe of the “white gold” from China.

In addition to saving energy, I reduce my consumption of raw materials by recycling finely crushed ceramics from old tests and failures and glass waste from the household as ingredients in the slips.

The casting sand can be reused infinitely. It creates an aesthetic surface and forms a glaze in itself; therefore, the piece only has to be fired once.”
